I've had a Garmin V for years, and I thought it had finally quit as it would no longer find any satellites. I had seen this product before on a friends motorcycle and it worked great for him especially in wooded areas where my "stock" antenna lost the signal until we rode into a more clear view of the sky. I received it in a timely manner, along with the windshield mount. My first use was on my bicycle as I mounted it to the handlebars and went for a 12 mile ride. It received a much better signal than I have ever had with the old antenna before it died, so I can still use the trusty old GPS and not have to buy a new one. For whatever reason, the original antenna for my Garmin GPS gave up the ghost and couldn't find a satellite signal come heck or high water.
