Bought this charger to keep my Magellan 1475T GPS charged before use. Became very important when a full charge was needed to update a new release of the firmware. It did not have to be put in car to charge up - just a little time on the wall charger and it was ready to connect to my computer for the update. I bought this for a Magellan. 1470, but the info on the Magellen was to small, so i sent it back and and didn,t get a chance to use it. I kept it anyway in case I decide to get a different Magellan -- Not sure
